Below are examples of art created by Phyllis Mortensen. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education from Dana College in Blair, NE.

She began her art career as a public school art instructor teaching art history and the fundamentals of drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture to junior high and high school students.

She now specializes in water color and oil painting. She works mainly from nature photos she has taken and still lifes she creates in her studio. She has won awards for work she has displayed in local and regional exhibits.
